What’s the point of Slog6.com - why is yet another cricket website needed?

Well, here at Slog6 Towers we felt something was missing from the web offerings for cricket.   Sure there are some great sites out there, from those with a wealth of statistical information to those with a more modest blog-style, but there’s always been something missing.

Where’s the fun and – importantly – where’s the value?

Slog6 has a love of cricket at its heart.  But when we discuss cricket, you can be sure we put our money where our mouth is.  Our writers are cricket betting experts who can guide the inexperienced bettor towards that most elusive of targets, value.   If we don’t see value, we don’t recommend a bet, and you can be sure that if we highlight a bet, we’ll be on it too.

To start with we’ll be covering the IPL in India, with reports from every game in our usual irreverent tone – but we’ll be sure to have all the data you want and need as well.

To start with we’ll be covering the IPL in India, with reports from every game in our usual irreverent tone – but we’ll be sure to have all the data you want and need as well.   We’ll also be giving you full coverage of the England international summer, and of course the slogfest that is the English domestic 20/20 competition in June and July.

In time we’ll keep you up to date with more top-level cricket from around the world, using our keen eye for value opportunities while never forgetting that we are first and foremost about cricket.

Compared to the huge encyclopaedias of information you might see on our competitor’s sites, we like to think of ourselves as a local guide book – not as wide ranging, but a lot more focused, relevant and fun to read.

Everyone appreciates the majesty of a Sachin Tendulkar off-drive or the controlled aggression of a Ricky Ponting pull to the boundary ... but really, what’s more fun than seeing a horticultural mow over the stands and down the high street... a slog6 !
